Play on the Pitch is delighted once again to be hosting our hugely popular junior tournament at Molineux, home of Premier League Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.
Molineux has a capacity of over 31,000 and is undoubtedly one of the most well known and iconic stadiums in English football. With the club playing in the Premier League, there can be no more exciting time to play on the Molineux pitch.
With 4 pitches set up on the main stadium pitch, we are able to deliver a great tournament format with group matches and then Finals. All teams play 5 matches of 12 minutes, so have a guaranteed 60 minutes of match time in the tournament. This is made up of 3 group matches and then Semi-Final and Final matches.
NEW for 2025 – following the group matches, teams will progress either to the Champions Cup or Shield Competition. Not only does this ensure that all teams play their Finals matches against teams of a similar standard, it also means that the teams playing in the Shield Competition have the opportunity to win the Shield Final and take home a winners trophy.
Prior to their first match, the players will have their names announced as they line up in the players’ tunnel and walk out on to the stadium pitch. At the end of the tournament, we award medals and certificates to all players and there will be trophy presentations for the winner and runners-up teams in both the Champions Cup and Shield Competition in each age group.
Please note that due to stadium renovation works at Molineux, it will not be possible to visit the Home and Away changing rooms during the tournament. Please ensure that you make your players and parents aware of this when booking the tournament. The club has therefore lowered the event cost, so that we can offer the tournament at this exceptional price for a Premier League Play on the Pitch stadium tournament.
This opportunity to play on the pitch at a stadium graced each week by Premier League stars is one that you and your team should not miss out on!
